Yunlan Estate
I want to add this info in somewhere - We got this sublot - not sure if it’s worth putting that as an insta caption or fitting it in here somewhere?
Sorry if the “sub-lot” part was a bit confusing. Basically, for the Purple Typica, we had several harvests between January 2026 and early March 2026. The cherries are processed within 36 hours after harvest, which naturally creates different processed batches.
Normally, these batches taste extremely similar because of the controlled processing environment, so we blend them together into one lot.
Occasionally, our processing station uses special techniques, such as low-temperature slow fermentation and stricter colour sorting, to further improve the texture and flavour of the coffee. In previous years, we would usually blend these outstanding batches into the main Natural Purple Typica lot to increase the overall quality and quantity. As a result, these excellent small batches were often “hidden” within the bigger lot.
This year, we decided to keep some of these little treasures separate. We don’t offer them publicly, mainly to keep the sales process simple and avoid creating too many small lots.
As for samples, we don’t have them available yet. The flavour profile should be similar to the sample you cupped, but with better overall quality in both flavour and texture.
