Betania Farm is part of a thriving network of 117 smallholder producers in southern Huila, a region internationally recognized for its exceptional terroir and dedication to quality. These producers work together under a shared philosophy: farming with respect for the land, preserving traditional methods, and avoiding the use of
chemicals that compromise soil health and biodiversity. Their collective efforts have created a model of sustainable coffee production that is admired across Colombia.
The group has invested in shared infrastructure such as a cupping laboratory, professional drying stations, and centralised warehouses that allow each producer to elevate the quality of their coffee while maintaining full traceability at every stage. This collaborative ecosystem ensures not only consistency and excellence in the cup,
but also a fair and empowering environment for the families involved.
At the heart of this community stands Don Linarco, affectionately known as “Don Lino.” He embodies both leadership and humility, combining deep agricultural knowledge with a constant drive for innovation. Over the years, he has introduced improvements in selective harvesting, fermentation control, and drying techniques,
raising the standards for his entire region. His commitment extends beyond the farm: he mentors young growers, encourages environmentally responsible practices, and supports initiatives that strengthen the local community.
Every lot from Betania carries this spirit of dedication. The care invested in the farm, the respect for tradition, and the passion for quality come through clearly in every cup, offering an honest and expressive representation of Huila’s coffee heritage.
